WRITE! CALL! MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD!

Good evening Team!

On Monday I sent a letter to the Chancellor and the Mayor, sharing the success of our March and asking them to prioritize the health of our children and work with us to implement our four asks.

I am also urging all of our Borough Presidents to sign a similar letter and working to build a coalition of City Council members to send a similar letter.

While we await our reply we need more voices! You should write and call your council members and the chancellors office too! for the Chancellor, send to Edie Sharp his chief of staff: ESharp2@schools.nyc.gov.

For the Mayor, I sent it through his website (if you have a better email, please share). Please feel free to use this sample letter and edit as you like. WE MUST not relent. Keep up the calls and the pressure! Thank you! Andrea Check out this letter as a sample: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nZYrmYB4vpxQej9ko2iiEvMXqRRNaICLjKPHd09RV1U/edit

I just emailed Helen Rosenthal, Bill Perkins, and Speaker Johnson from my district on the Upper West Side by copying the form letter provided here and pasting into email (thanks for providing that!)

It is super easy to search for your own City district by visiting this website https://council.nyc.gov/districts/

and searching for your neighborhood. Once you find the reps, you can email them directly from that site. It takes no time and it will make a difference if we all do something!!
